What Datadog RUM (BYOK) is for
Datadog RUM (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Datadog RUM data through the Datadog RUM API with a key you supply (Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_applications, get_application, get_rum_config, list_rum_metrics, list_retention_filters, get_retention_filter, list_teams_ownership_rules). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.datadoghq.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog RUM. Datadog RUM and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which RUM applications do I have in Datadog?"
- "Show the details of my Datadog RUM application"
- "Are RUM retention filters enabled in my Datadog org?"
- "Which metrics are generated from Datadog RUM events?"
- "Which retention filters does my Datadog RUM application use?"
- "Show Datadog RUM retention filter rf1"
What it does
list_applications: List RUM applications with id, name, type (browser, ios, android, react-native, flutter ...), active flag and last update time. Client tokens and creator handles are left out.get_application: Get one RUM application by id: name, type, active flag, product scale states (event processing and product analytics retention) and update time.get_rum_config: Show the organization's RUM settings: whether RUM is disabled, retention filters enabled, enforced application tags and out-of-the-box metrics version.list_rum_metrics: List RUM-based metrics: id (metric name), event type, aggregation type, measure path, filter query and group-by tags.list_retention_filters: List the retention filters of one RUM application (which events are kept, sample rate, enabled flag, trace sampling).get_retention_filter: Get one RUM retention filter of an application by id.list_teams_ownership_rules: List rules that map RUM views to owning teams, per application and service. Filter by view name, team handle, application or service.
BYOK key
You bring your own Datadog RUM Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com) (https://app.datadoghq.com/organization-settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.datadoghq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog RUM. Datadog RUM and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Datadog RUM account.
