What Datadog Synthetics (BYOK) is for
Datadog Synthetics (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Datadog Synthetics data through the Datadog Synthetics API with a key you supply (Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_tests, search_tests, get_test, get_api_test_results, get_browser_test_results, list_locations, get_default_locations, list_global_variables). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.datadoghq.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog Synthetics. Datadog Synthetics and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Datadog Synthetic tests are paused?"
- "Find Datadog Synthetic tests about checkout"
- "Show the details of Datadog Synthetic test abc-def-ghi"
- "Did Datadog Synthetic test abc-def-ghi pass recently?"
- "How did Datadog browser test abc-def-ghi run recently?"
- "Which Synthetic locations can I run Datadog tests from?"
What it does
list_tests: List Synthetic tests with name, type (api, browser, mobile, network), subtype, live or paused status, locations, check interval and target URL or host. Request headers, bodies and credentials are left out.search_tests: Search Synthetic tests by text, for example a name, tag or 'type:browser'. Returns the same summary fields as list_tests.get_test: Get one Synthetic test by public id: type, status, locations, interval, failure thresholds, notification monitor id and target. Assertions, headers and variables are not returned.get_api_test_results: Get the latest results (up to 150) of a Synthetic API test: check time, location, pass or fail and total timing in milliseconds.get_browser_test_results: Get the latest results (up to 150) of a Synthetic browser test: check time, location, device, duration, error count and step counts.list_locations: List public and private Synthetic locations with their ids and names.get_default_locations: List the location ids new Synthetic tests use by default.list_global_variables: List Synthetic global variables with id, name, description and tags. Variable values are not returned by this tool.
BYOK key
You bring your own Datadog Synthetics Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com) (https://app.datadoghq.com/organization-settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.datadoghq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
