What Datadog Teams (BYOK) is for
Datadog Teams (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Datadog Teams data through the Datadog Teams API with a key you supply (Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_teams, get_team, get_team_links, list_team_hierarchy_links, get_team_permission_settings, list_team_notification_rules, list_team_connections). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.datadoghq.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog Teams. Datadog Teams and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Datadog teams exist and how large are they?"
- "Show the Datadog team with id t1"
- "What links does Datadog team t1 have?"
- "Which Datadog teams sit under team t1?"
- "Who can edit Datadog team t1?"
- "Where does Datadog team t1 send its notifications?"
What it does
list_teams: List teams with name, handle, summary, member count and link count (no member names). Search by team name or handle; sort by name or member count.get_team: Get one team by id: name, handle, summary, description, member and link counts.get_team_links: List a team's links (runbooks, dashboards, chat rooms): label, URL and position.list_team_hierarchy_links: List parent and sub-team relationships between teams (ids of the parent and sub team). Filter by parent or sub team id.get_team_permission_settings: Show who may perform each team action (for example manage membership or edit the team): action, current value, editable flag and allowed options.list_team_notification_rules: List where a team's alerts are routed: Slack channel and workspace, PagerDuty service name, Microsoft Teams connector. Email recipients are left out.list_team_connections: List links between Datadog teams and teams in external systems (GitHub, Okta and similar): source, managed-by and the two team ids.
BYOK key
You bring your own Datadog Teams Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com) (https://app.datadoghq.com/organization-settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.datadoghq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
