What Datadog (BYOK) is for
Datadog (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Datadog data through the Datadog API with a key you supply (Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com)). Read-only: 11 tools (validate_api_key, list_monitors, get_monitor, list_dashboards, list_slos, list_hosts, list_events, list_downtimes, list_synthetic_tests, list_incidents, search_logs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.datadoghq.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog. Datadog and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Is my Datadog API key valid?"
- "Which Datadog monitors are alerting?"
- "Show Datadog monitor 1"
- "Which Datadog dashboards do I have?"
- "How are my Datadog SLOs defined?"
- "Which hosts report to Datadog and are any down?"
What it does
validate_api_key: Check whether the API key is valid for the US1 site (datadoghq.com).list_monitors: List monitors with type, overall state (Alert, Warn, No Data, OK, Ignored, Skipped, Unknown), priority, query and tags. Filter by name or tags; page with page and page_size.get_monitor: Get one monitor by id: type, query, overall state, priority, tags, message and dates.list_dashboards: List dashboards with title, description, author, layout type, URL path and dates.list_slos: List service level objectives with type, description, target and warning thresholds, tags and linked monitors. Filter by name text or tag.list_hosts: List infrastructure hosts reporting to Datadog with name, whether up, muted flag, last report time (Unix seconds), apps and sources.list_events: List Datadog events (deploys, alerts, comments) in a time window with title, text, host, tags, priority and source. Up to 1000 per page.list_downtimes: List scheduled downtimes (muted alert windows) with scope, monitor, start and end (Unix seconds), message and whether active.list_synthetic_tests: List Synthetic tests (API, browser, mobile, network) with status live or paused, locations, tags and linked monitor id.list_incidents: List incidents with title, severity, state, customer impact and declared, detected and resolved times.search_logs: Search Datadog logs with the log search syntax in a time range, newest first. Returns message, status, service, host and tags per log.
BYOK key
You bring your own Datadog Datadog API key (US1 site, datadoghq.com) (https://app.datadoghq.com/organization-settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.datadoghq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Datadog. Datadog and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Datadog account.
