What Depot Builds (BYOK) is for

Depot Builds (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Depot Builds data through the Depot Builds API with a key you supply (organization API token). Read-only: 7 tools (list_organizations, list_projects, get_project, list_builds, get_build, list_project_usage, get_project_usage). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.depot.dev. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Depot Builds. Depot Builds and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Depot organization does my token belong to?"
  • "Which Depot build projects does my organization have?"
  • "What is the cache policy of Depot project abc123def4?"
  • "What were the latest builds of Depot project abc123def4?"
  • "How long did Depot build b1c2d3e4f5 take and how much was cached?"
  • "How many Depot builds did each project run in October 2026?"

What it does

  • list_organizations: List the Depot organizations the token can see, with ID, name and creation time.
  • list_projects: List the Depot projects of the organization (a project is an isolated build cache) with region, cache policy, timeout and concurrency limit. Needs an organization token.
  • get_project: Get one Depot project: name, region, cache policy (days and gigabytes kept), build timeout and concurrency limit. Needs an organization token.
  • list_builds: List the builds of a Depot project, newest first, with status, timings, duration, cache time saved and cached step counts.
  • get_build: Get one Depot build: status, timestamps, duration, seconds saved by the cache and cached versus total steps.
  • list_project_usage: List build count, build seconds and layer cache size per project for a time period.
  • get_project_usage: Get build count, build seconds and layer cache size for one Depot project over a time period.

BYOK key

You bring your own Depot Builds organization API token (https://depot.dev/docs/api/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.depot.dev over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Depot Builds API (api.depot.dev) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://depot.dev/docs/api/sdk-reference. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Depot Builds. Depot Builds and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Depot Builds account.
