What Devin (BYOK) is for

Devin (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Devin data through the Devin API with a key you supply (Devin service user API key (starts with cog_, organization scope)). Read-only: 12 tools (get_self, list_sessions, get_session, get_daily_consumption, get_usage_metrics, get_session_metrics, get_pr_metrics, get_daily_active_users, list_schedules, list_playbooks, list_automations, list_indexed_repositories). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.devin.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Devin. Devin and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Devin organization is my API key for?"
  • "What Devin sessions ran this week and how many ACUs did they use?"
  • "What happened in Devin session devin-0123456789abcdef?"
  • "How many ACUs did my Devin organization use each day this month?"
  • "How much has my team used Devin?"
  • "Which sizes and sources are my Devin sessions coming from?"

What it does

  • get_self: Show which Devin service user and organization the API key belongs to. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • list_sessions: List Devin sessions with status, title, tags, origin, category and ACUs consumed, newest first. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_session: Get one Devin session: status, title, tags, pull requests, ACUs consumed, origin and category. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_daily_consumption: Get ACUs consumed per day by the organization over a time range, with the total. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_usage_metrics: Get the organization's session, search and pull request counts over a time range. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_session_metrics: Get how many Devin sessions were created, by size and origin, how many used playbooks and merged PRs, and the average ACUs per session. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_pr_metrics: Get pull requests Devin created, opened, merged, closed or had taken over by people over a time range. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • get_daily_active_users: Get the number of people and service users active with Devin per day over a time range. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • list_schedules: List Devin schedules with name, frequency, whether they are enabled, last run and last error. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • list_playbooks: List the organization's Devin playbooks: title, macro, access type and who last updated them. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • list_automations: List Devin automations with name, whether they are enabled, last update and next run. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.
  • list_indexed_repositories: List repositories Devin indexes for the organization, with branches and indexing status. Reads metadata only: it starts no Devin session and uses no ACUs.

BYOK key

You bring your own Devin Devin service user API key (starts with cog_, organization scope) (https://app.devin.ai/settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.devin.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Devin API (api.devin.ai) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.devin.ai/api-reference/overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Devin. Devin and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Devin account.
