What Digital Ocean Account Activity (BYOK) is for

Digital Ocean Account Activity (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Digital Ocean Account Activity data through the Digital Ocean Account Activity API with a key you supply (personal access token with read scope). Read-only: 9 tools (list_actions, get_action, list_tags, get_tag, list_ssh_keys, get_ssh_key, list_byoip_prefixes, list_byoip_prefix_resources, list_one_click_apps). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.digitalocean.com. What it does

  • list_actions: List recent account actions (droplet creates, resizes, snapshots, power events) with type, status, resource and timing, newest first.
  • get_action: Get one action by numeric id with type, status, resource, region and timing.
  • list_tags: List tags with the number of tagged resources and a link to the last tagged one.
  • get_tag: Get one tag by name with its resource count.
  • list_ssh_keys: List the SSH public keys saved in the account with name, id and fingerprint (public keys only, never private keys).
  • get_ssh_key: Get one saved SSH public key by numeric id or fingerprint.
  • list_byoip_prefixes: List bring-your-own-IP prefixes with status, region, advertised and locked flags and validation failure reasons.
  • list_byoip_prefix_resources: List the resources (such as Droplets) that use addresses from one BYOIP prefix.
  • list_one_click_apps: List the 1-Click application slugs that can be deployed, optionally only Droplet or Kubernetes ones.

BYOK key

You bring your own Digital Ocean Account Activity personal access token with read scope (https://cloud.digitalocean.com/account/api/tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.digitalocean.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
