What Digital Ocean Networking (BYOK) is for
Digital Ocean Networking (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Digital Ocean Networking data through the Digital Ocean Networking API with a key you supply (personal access token with networking read scope). Read-only: 12 tools (list_firewalls, get_firewall, list_load_balancers, get_load_balancer, list_vpcs, get_vpc, list_vpc_members, list_reserved_ips, get_reserved_ip, list_reserved_ipv6, list_vpc_peerings, list_nat_gateways). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.digitalocean.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Digital Ocean Networking. Digital Ocean Networking and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which firewall rules protect my Droplets?"
- "What does firewall bb4b2611 allow?"
- "Which load balancers do I have and are they active?"
- "How is load balancer 4de7ac8b configured?"
- "Which VPCs do I have and what are their IP ranges?"
- "What IP range does VPC 5a4981aa use?"
What it does
list_firewalls: List Cloud Firewalls with status, attached Droplet ids, and inbound and outbound rules.get_firewall: Get one Cloud Firewall with its inbound and outbound rules and attached Droplets.list_load_balancers: List load balancers with IP, status, size, algorithm, region, forwarding rules, health check and attached Droplets.get_load_balancer: Get one load balancer with forwarding rules, health check, attached Droplets and settings.list_vpcs: List VPC networks with region, IP range, default flag and creation time.get_vpc: Get one VPC network.list_vpc_members: List the resources (Droplets, load balancers, databases and others) inside a VPC, as URNs.list_reserved_ips: List reserved IPv4 addresses with region, attached Droplet, locked flag and project.get_reserved_ip: Get one reserved IPv4 address with region and attached Droplet.list_reserved_ipv6: List reserved IPv6 addresses with region and attached Droplet.list_vpc_peerings: List VPC peerings with name, status and the VPC ids they connect.list_nat_gateways: List VPC NAT gateways with name, type, state, region, size, connected VPCs, timeouts and creation time.
BYOK key
You bring your own Digital Ocean Networking personal access token with networking read scope (https://cloud.digitalocean.com/account/api/tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.digitalocean.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
