What Documenso (BYOK) is for

Documenso (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Documenso data through the Documenso API with a key you supply (API token). Read-only: 7 tools (list_envelopes, list_completed_documents, find_templates, list_expired_envelopes, get_envelope, list_folders, list_envelope_attachments). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.documenso.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Documenso. Documenso and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Documenso documents are still pending signatures?"
  • "Which Documenso documents were fully signed recently?"
  • "What Documenso templates do we have for contracts?"
  • "Which Documenso documents have recipients with expired signing links?"
  • "Show the details of Documenso envelope envelope_abcd1234"
  • "What folders exist in Documenso?"

What it does

  • list_envelopes: List documents and templates (envelopes) of the token's team, newest first, with title, status, creator and dates. Filter by status, type, source, template or folder.
  • list_completed_documents: List documents that all recipients have signed (status COMPLETED), newest first, with title, creator and completion date.
  • find_templates: List or search your Documenso templates (envelopes of type TEMPLATE) with title, creator and dates.
  • list_expired_envelopes: List envelopes where at least one recipient's signing link has expired, so they need to be re-sent.
  • get_envelope: Get one envelope: title, status, type, dates, folder, visibility and delivery settings such as subject, message, signing order and language.
  • list_folders: List Documenso folders for documents or templates with name, parent, pinned flag and dates.
  • list_envelope_attachments: List the attachments (links) added to an envelope with label and URL.

BYOK key

You bring your own Documenso API token (https://docs.documenso.com/docs/developers/getting-started/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.documenso.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Read-only. Recipient signing tokens and audit logs are deliberately not exposed. Tokens are scoped to one Documenso team.

Data sources

Live from the Documenso API (app.documenso.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://openapi.documenso.com/reference/openapi.json. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Documenso. Documenso and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Documenso account.
