What DocuSeal (BYOK) is for
DocuSeal (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own DocuSeal data through the DocuSeal API with a key you supply (DocuSeal API key). Read-only: 6 tools (list_templates, get_template, list_submissions, get_submission, get_submission_documents, list_submitters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.docuseal.com, api.docuseal.eu. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by DocuSeal. DocuSeal and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which DocuSeal templates do I have?"
- "What fields and signer roles does DocuSeal template 1000001 have?"
- "Which DocuSeal signature requests are still pending?"
- "What is the status and event history of DocuSeal submission 1001?"
- "Where can I download the signed documents of DocuSeal submission 1001?"
- "Who has not yet completed signing in DocuSeal?"
What it does
list_templates: List document templates with name, folder, external ID, author and dates; filter by name, folder or archive state. Returns 10 by default, up to 100 per page.get_template: Get one template: name, folder, signer roles (submitters), fields and document file names.list_submissions: List signature requests (submissions) with status, template, creation and completion times; filter by status, template or folder. Signer names and emails are not returned.get_submission: Get one submission: overall status, template, timeline events (viewed, started, completed) and signed document links. Signer identities and form values are not returned.get_submission_documents: List the document files of a submission (the signed PDFs once completed, otherwise partially filled copies) with file name and download link.list_submitters: List individual signing parties and their progress (status, sent, opened, completed and declined times) without names, emails or phone numbers.
BYOK key
You bring your own DocuSeal DocuSeal API key (https://console.docuseal.com/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.docuseal.com, api.docuseal.eu over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Data sources
- https://www.docuseal.com/docs/api (the API this connector calls, with a BYOK key)
Live from the DocuSeal API (api.docuseal.com, api.docuseal.eu) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.docuseal.com/docs/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by DocuSeal. DocuSeal and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
