What Doofinder (BYOK) is for

Doofinder (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Doofinder data through the Doofinder API with a key you supply (Doofinder API key (account owner's key)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_search_engines, get_search_engine, list_indices, get_index, count_items, get_item, scroll_items, get_search_stats, get_top_searches, get_click_stats, get_session_stats). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to eu1-api.doofinder.com, us1-api.doofinder.com, ap1-api.doofinder.com. What it does

  • list_search_engines: List the account's search engines with hashid, name, status, language, currency, platform and site URL.
  • get_search_engine: Get one search engine by hashid with status, language, currency, platform and site URL.
  • list_indices: List the indices of a search engine with name, preset (generic, product, page, category) and options.
  • get_index: Get one index of a search engine: name, preset, options and data sources.
  • count_items: Count the items in an index.
  • get_item: Get one indexed item by id: title, link, image, best price and grouping.
  • scroll_items: Page through the items of an index, up to 100 per page; pass the returned scroll_id to get the next page.
  • get_search_stats: Count searches per day in a period, for one search engine or all of them.
  • get_top_searches: List the most common search terms in a period with counts; can show only searches that returned no results.
  • get_click_stats: Count clicks on search results per day in a period.
  • get_session_stats: Count unique search sessions per day in a period.

BYOK key

You bring your own Doofinder Doofinder API key (account owner's key) (https://admin.doofinder.com/admin/account/api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to eu1-api.doofinder.com, us1-api.doofinder.com, ap1-api.doofinder.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
