What Dotdigital (BYOK) is for

Dotdigital (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Dotdigital data through the Dotdigital API with a key you supply (API user email (apiuser-...@apiconnector.com)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_campaigns, list_campaigns_with_activity_since, get_campaign_summary, get_campaign_metrics, list_address_books, get_address_book, list_segments, list_data_fields, list_templates, list_programs). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to r1-api.dotdigital.com, r2-api.dotdigital.com, r3-api.dotdigital.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Dotdigital. Dotdigital and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What email campaigns do I have in Dotdigital?"
  • "Which Dotdigital campaigns had activity since 1 October 2026?"
  • "How did Dotdigital campaign 12345 perform?"
  • "Show Dotdigital campaign metrics for September 2026"
  • "How many contacts are in each Dotdigital address book?"
  • "How big is Dotdigital address book 987?"

What it does

  • list_campaigns: List email campaigns with id, name, subject, from name and address, split-test flag and status. Message bodies are not returned.
  • list_campaigns_with_activity_since: List sent campaigns that had opens, clicks or other activity after a date.
  • get_campaign_summary: Get the reporting summary of one campaign: sent, delivered, opens, clicks, bounces, unsubscribes, complaints and the main percentages.
  • get_campaign_metrics: Get key metrics (sent, delivered, opens, clicks, bounces, orders and rates) of every campaign with activity between two UTC times.
  • list_address_books: List address books (lists) with id, name, visibility and contact count.
  • get_address_book: Get one address book's name, visibility and contact count by id.
  • list_segments: List segments with id, name and contact count.
  • list_data_fields: List the contact data fields defined in the account with name, data type, visibility and default value.
  • list_templates: List email campaign templates with id, name, subject, from name and reply action (bodies are not returned).
  • list_programs: List automation programs with id, name, status and creation time.

BYOK key

You bring your own Dotdigital API user email (apiuser-...@apiconnector.com) (https://marketing.developer.dotdigital.com/docs/getting-started-with-the-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to r1-api.dotdigital.com, r2-api.dotdigital.com, r3-api.dotdigital.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Dotdigital API (r1-api.dotdigital.com, r2-api.dotdigital.com, r3-api.dotdigital.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://marketing.developer.dotdigital.com/docs/getting-started-with-the-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Dotdigital. Dotdigital and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Dotdigital account.
