What Dremio Cloud (BYOK) is for
Dremio Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Dremio Cloud data through the Dremio Cloud API with a key you supply (personal access token). Read-only: 9 tools (list_projects, get_project, list_engines, get_engine, list_catalog_roots, get_catalog_object, get_job, list_reflections, list_scripts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.dremio.cloud. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Dremio Cloud. Dremio Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Dremio Cloud projects do we have?"
- "What state is Dremio project default-project in?"
- "Which Dremio engines are running and how big are they?"
- "How is the Dremio engine firstEngine configured?"
- "What sources and spaces are in my Dremio catalog?"
- "What columns does the Dremio table with id c9c11d32-0576-4200-5a5b-8c7229cb3d72 have?"
What it does
list_projects: List the Dremio Cloud projects of the organization with id, name, type, cloud region, state and engine count. Storage credentials are not returned.get_project: Get one project: name, type, region, state, number of engines and timestamps.list_engines: List the compute engines of a project with size, state, replica counts, auto-stop delay, limits and last query time.get_engine: Get one engine: size, state, replicas, queue and runtime limits.list_catalog_roots: List the top-level objects of a project's catalog (sources and spaces) with id, path, container type and creation time.get_catalog_object: Get a catalog object (source, space, folder, table or view) by id: type, path, owner, column names and types for datasets, and child objects for folders. Source connection settings are not returned.get_job: Get the status of a SQL job by id: state, row count, error message, start and end time, query type and queue.list_reflections: List a project's reflections (query accelerators) with type, dataset, size, enabled flag and refresh status.list_scripts: List saved SQL scripts of a project with name, context, owner and timestamps. The SQL text is not returned.
BYOK key
You bring your own Dremio Cloud personal access token (https://docs.dremio.com/dremio-cloud/api/personal-access-token). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.dremio.cloud over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
