What Economic Accounting Setup (BYOK) is for

Economic Accounting Setup (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Economic Accounting Setup data through the Economic Accounting Setup API with a key you supply (app secret token). Read-only: 12 tools (list_currencies, list_payment_terms, list_payment_types, list_journals, list_vat_accounts, list_vat_zones, list_vat_types, list_units, list_layouts, list_accounting_year_periods, get_accounting_year_totals, get_period_totals). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to restapi.e-conomic.com. What it does

  • list_currencies: List the currencies available on the agreement with ISO code, numeric code and name.
  • list_payment_terms: List payment terms with number, name, type, days of credit and description.
  • list_payment_types: List payment types with number and name.
  • list_journals: List journals with number, name and the default contra accounts for customer payments, finance vouchers and supplier payments. Filterable by journalNumber and name.
  • list_vat_accounts: List VAT accounts with code, name, rate percentage, barred flag, the account and contra account and the VAT type.
  • list_vat_zones: List VAT zones with number, name and whether they can be used for customers and suppliers.
  • list_vat_types: List VAT types with number and name.
  • list_units: List the units of measure with number and name.
  • list_layouts: List invoice layouts with number, name and deleted flag.
  • list_accounting_year_periods: List the periods of one accounting year with period number, dates and closed flag. Filterable by fromDate, periodNumber and toDate.
  • get_accounting_year_totals: Get the total entry amount in base currency per account for one accounting year (account number, dates and total).
  • get_period_totals: Get the total entry amount in base currency per account for one period of an accounting year.

BYOK key

You bring your own Economic Accounting Setup app secret token (https://www.e-conomic.com/developer/connect). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to restapi.e-conomic.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
