What Eden AI (BYOK) is for

Eden AI (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Eden AI data through the Eden AI API with a key you supply (Eden AI API key). Read-only: 12 tools (list_llm_models, list_transcription_models, list_speech_models, list_image_models, list_tts_voices, list_features, list_async_jobs, get_async_job, list_files, list_collections, get_collection, list_videos). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.edenai.run. Eden AI and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

  • "Which female Spanish voices does Eden AI have?"
  • "Which AI features does Eden AI group its expert models into?"

What it does

  • list_llm_models: List the language models reachable through Eden AI with provider, context length, modalities and tool-calling support (pricing left out).
  • list_transcription_models: List the speech-to-text models available through Eden AI.
  • list_speech_models: List the text-to-speech models available through Eden AI.
  • list_image_models: List the image generation and editing models available through Eden AI.
  • list_tts_voices: List text-to-speech voices with language, gender, provider and the models that accept them; filter by model, language or gender.
  • list_features: List the expert-model feature groups (OCR, translation, speech, vision and others) with their names and descriptions.
  • list_async_jobs: List your asynchronous feature jobs (OCR, transcription and similar) with status, provider and creation time; filter by feature or status.
  • get_async_job: Get one asynchronous job by id: status, cost, provider, feature, error and timing (the job output is left out).
  • list_files: List files uploaded to your Eden AI account with name, size, MIME type, purpose and expiry.
  • list_collections: List your vector collections (gateway-side records) with id, embedding model and name.
  • get_collection: Get one collection's id, embedding model and name.
  • list_videos: List your video generation jobs (newest first) with status, progress, model, provider and cost.

BYOK key

You bring your own Eden AI Eden AI API key (https://app.edenai.run/admin/account/developer). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.edenai.run over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
