What Edge Impulse (BYOK) is for
Edge Impulse (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Edge Impulse data through the Edge Impulse API with a key you supply (Edge Impulse project API key (starts with ei_; a project key only sees its own project)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_api_key_info, list_projects, list_devices, list_samples, count_samples, get_dataset_ratio, list_impulses, list_active_jobs, list_finished_jobs, list_deployment_history). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to studio.edgeimpulse.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Edge Impulse. Edge Impulse and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Edge Impulse project is my API key for and when does it expire?"
- "Which Edge Impulse projects do I have?"
- "Which devices are connected to my Edge Impulse project?"
- "What training samples are in my Edge Impulse project?"
- "How many samples does my Edge Impulse project have?"
- "What is my Edge Impulse train and test split?"
What it does
get_api_key_info: Show which project the API key belongs to, its role (admin, readonly, ingestion) and its expiry date.list_projects: List the active projects the key can see, with name, owner, labeling method, category, tier and last modified time. A project key lists only its own project.list_devices: List the devices registered with a project: name, type, last seen time and remote management connection state.list_samples: List dataset samples in a project by category with label, length, frequency, source device and whether the sample is disabled. Sample data points are not returned.count_samples: Count the samples in a project, for one dataset category or for all of them.get_dataset_ratio: Show how the dataset is split between training, validation and testing.list_impulses: List the impulses (the signal-processing and learning pipelines) in a project with id and name, plus the maximum your plan allows.list_active_jobs: List jobs that are running or queued in a project (training, feature generation, builds) with category, start time and compute time.list_finished_jobs: List finished jobs with category, start and finish time, success flag and compute time, optionally within a date range.list_deployment_history: List the model builds deployed from a project: version, format, engine, model type, impulse and time.
BYOK key
You bring your own Edge Impulse Edge Impulse project API key (starts with ei_; a project key only sees its own project) (https://docs.edgeimpulse.com/studio/projects/dashboard). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to studio.edgeimpulse.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
