What Elastic Cloud Hosted (BYOK) is for
Elastic Cloud Hosted (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Elastic Cloud Hosted data through the Elastic Cloud Hosted API with a key you supply (Elastic Cloud API key (encoded value)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_traffic_filter_rulesets, get_traffic_filter_ruleset, list_extensions, get_extension, get_trusted_environments, list_snapshot_repositories, get_elasticsearch_tiers, list_remote_clusters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.elastic-cloud.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Elastic Cloud Hosted. Elastic Cloud Hosted and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which traffic filter rulesets protect my Elastic Cloud deployments?"
- "Show one Elastic Cloud traffic filter ruleset"
- "Which custom extensions are uploaded to my Elastic Cloud account?"
- "Show one Elastic Cloud extension"
- "Which environments does my Elastic Cloud organization trust?"
- "Which snapshot repositories does my Elastic Cloud deployment have?"
What it does
list_traffic_filter_rulesets: List traffic filter rulesets (allowed IPs or private endpoints) with type, region, default flag and how many deployments use each.get_traffic_filter_ruleset: Get one traffic filter ruleset by id: name, type, region, default flag and association count.list_extensions: List custom Elasticsearch extensions (plugins and bundles) uploaded to the account with name, type, version and description.get_extension: Get one extension by id: name, type, version and description.get_trusted_environments: Show which accounts and external environments the organization trusts for cross-cluster access: names, ids and whether all deployments are trusted.list_snapshot_repositories: List the snapshot repositories attached to a deployment's Elasticsearch resource.get_elasticsearch_tiers: Show the data tiers of a deployment (hot, warm, cold, frozen, master, coordinating, ml): memory size and zone count of each.list_remote_clusters: List the remote clusters a deployment's Elasticsearch resource is linked to (certificate based) with alias and skip-unavailable flag.
BYOK key
You bring your own Elastic Cloud Hosted Elastic Cloud API key (encoded value) (https://www.elastic.co/docs/api/doc/cloud/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.elastic-cloud.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
