What Elastic Cloud Serverless (BYOK) is for

Elastic Cloud Serverless (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Elastic Cloud Serverless data through the Elastic Cloud Serverless API with a key you supply (Elastic Cloud API key (encoded value)). Read-only: 10 tools (get_capabilities, list_regions, get_region, list_observability_projects, get_observability_project, get_observability_project_status, list_elasticsearch_projects, get_elasticsearch_project, list_security_projects, list_traffic_filters). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.elastic-cloud.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Elastic Cloud Serverless. Elastic Cloud Serverless and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "How many Serverless projects can my Elastic Cloud organization have?"
  • "In which regions can I create Elastic Cloud Serverless projects?"
  • "Show one Elastic Cloud Serverless region"
  • "Which Elastic Observability Serverless projects do I have?"
  • "Show one Elastic Observability Serverless project"
  • "Is my Elastic Observability Serverless project up?"

What it does

  • get_capabilities: Show the organization's Serverless quotas: the maximum number of projects and the maximum number of projects one cross-project search may link.
  • list_regions: List the cloud regions where Serverless projects can be created, with provider, provider region, country and whether creation is enabled.
  • get_region: Get one Serverless region by id: name, cloud provider, provider region, country and whether project creation is enabled.
  • list_observability_projects: List Elastic Cloud Serverless Observability projects with name, alias, region, Cloud ID, endpoint URLs and creation time.
  • get_observability_project: Get one Observability project: name, alias, region, product tier, Cloud ID, endpoints, traffic filter ids and suspension state.
  • get_observability_project_status: Get the lifecycle phase of an Observability project (initializing, initialized, suspending, suspended, deleting) and when it changed.
  • list_elasticsearch_projects: List Elastic Cloud Serverless Elasticsearch projects with name, alias, region, Cloud ID, endpoint URLs and creation time.
  • get_elasticsearch_project: Get one Elasticsearch Serverless project: name, region, optimization (general purpose or vector), search power, Cloud ID and endpoints.
  • list_security_projects: List Elastic Cloud Serverless Security projects with name, alias, region, Cloud ID, endpoint URLs and creation time.
  • list_traffic_filters: List Serverless network traffic filters (IP, VPC endpoint or private endpoint rules) with type, region and whether they apply by default.

BYOK key

You bring your own Elastic Cloud Serverless Elastic Cloud API key (encoded value) (https://www.elastic.co/docs/api/doc/elastic-cloud-serverless/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.elastic-cloud.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Elastic Cloud Serverless API (api.elastic-cloud.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://www.elastic.co/docs/api/doc/elastic-cloud-serverless/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Elastic Cloud Serverless. Elastic Cloud Serverless and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Elastic Cloud Serverless account.
