What Elastic Email (BYOK) is for

Elastic Email (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Elastic Email data through the Elastic Email API with a key you supply (API key (give it only read access levels)). Read-only: 12 tools (list_contacts, get_contact, list_lists, list_list_contacts, list_segments, list_campaigns, get_campaign, list_events, get_statistics, list_campaign_statistics, list_bounces, list_domains). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.elasticemail.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Elastic Email. Elastic Email and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Who are my Elastic Email contacts and how engaged are they?"
  • "What is the status of ada@example.com in Elastic Email?"
  • "What contact lists do I have in Elastic Email?"
  • "Who is on my Elastic Email list called Newsletter?"
  • "What segments do I have in Elastic Email?"
  • "What Elastic Email campaigns have I run?"

What it does

  • list_contacts: List contacts with email, status, name, source, dates and engagement totals (sent, opened, clicked, failed).
  • get_contact: Get one contact by email address with status, name, source, dates and engagement totals.
  • list_lists: List contact lists with name, public id, date added and whether unsubscribing is allowed.
  • list_list_contacts: List the contacts of one list, by list name, with email, status, name and engagement totals.
  • list_segments: List segments with name and the rule that defines them.
  • list_campaigns: List campaigns with name, status, target lists and segments, tracking options and schedule. Optionally search by name.
  • get_campaign: Get one campaign by name with status, recipients, tracking options, schedule and content settings (sender, subject, template name).
  • list_events: List email events (sent, opened, clicked, bounced, complained, unsubscribed) with recipient, subject, type, time and channel, for a period.
  • get_statistics: Get overall sending statistics for a period: recipients, delivered, bounced, opened, clicked, unsubscribed, complaints and not delivered.
  • list_campaign_statistics: List statistics per campaign or channel: recipients, delivered, bounced, opened, clicked, unsubscribed and complaints.
  • list_bounces: List addresses suppressed because they bounced, with error message, error code and date. Optionally search by text.
  • list_domains: List sending domains with SPF, DKIM, MX and DMARC verification flags, tracking status and whether each is the default.

BYOK key

You bring your own Elastic Email API key (give it only read access levels) (https://app.elasticemail.com/marketing/settings/new/manage-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.elasticemail.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the Elastic Email API (api.elasticemail.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://elasticemail.com/developers/api-documentation/rest-api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Elastic Email. Elastic Email and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Elastic Email account.
