What ElevenLabs Voices (BYOK) is for

ElevenLabs Voices (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ElevenLabs Voices data through the ElevenLabs Voices API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 10 tools (list_shared_voices, get_voice, get_voice_settings, get_default_voice_settings, list_voice_collections, list_voice_accents, get_pronunciation_dictionary, list_music_finetunes, get_audio_effects_catalog, list_speech_engines). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.elevenlabs.io. What it does

  • list_shared_voices: Search the public voice library by language, accent, gender, age, use case or text, with usage counts and clone counts. Page size up to 100, pages start at 0.
  • get_voice: Get one voice's metadata: name, category, labels, description, preview URL, creation time and whether you own it.
  • get_voice_settings: Get the stored text-to-speech settings of one voice: stability, similarity boost, style, speed and speaker boost.
  • get_default_voice_settings: Get the default text-to-speech voice settings used when a voice has none of its own.
  • list_voice_collections: List the voice collections you can access with id, title, icon and your permission, sorted by title.
  • list_voice_accents: List the accents available in the shared voice library with language code and display name, optionally for one language or model.
  • get_pronunciation_dictionary: Get one pronunciation dictionary with its latest version id, rule count and the rules (text to replace and alias or phoneme).
  • list_music_finetunes: List music finetunes you can use (yours, workspace-shared and curated) with base model, visibility, creator, training status and progress.
  • get_audio_effects_catalog: List the filter presets, reverb environments and background noises that audio_effects settings can reference, with ids and descriptions.
  • list_speech_engines: List Speech Engine resources with name, assigned voice id, tags and creation time. Page size up to 100.

BYOK key

You bring your own ElevenLabs Voices API key (https://elevenlabs.io/app/settings/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.elevenlabs.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
