What Epos Now Floor Setup (BYOK) is for

Epos Now Floor Setup (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Epos Now Floor Setup data through the Epos Now Floor Setup API with a key you supply (Epos Now API key). Read-only: 7 tools (list_location_areas, list_table_plans, list_devices, list_discount_reasons, list_refund_reasons, list_stock_transfer_reasons, list_kitchen_display_settings). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.eposnowhq.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What location areas are set up in my Epos Now account?"
  • "How many tables and seats do my Epos Now seating areas have?"
  • "Which tills are registered in my Epos Now account?"
  • "What discount reasons does my Epos Now till offer?"
  • "What refund reasons are configured in Epos Now?"
  • "What stock movement reasons exist in Epos Now?"

What it does

  • list_location_areas: List location areas (regions that group your sites) with name, parent area and description.
  • list_table_plans: List table plan seating areas with their tables and seat counts, per location.
  • list_devices: List the till devices of the token's location (or all locations) with name, description and location.
  • list_discount_reasons: List the discount reasons staff can pick, with each default percentage.
  • list_refund_reasons: List the refund reasons staff can pick, with whether items go back into stock.
  • list_stock_transfer_reasons: List the reasons available for stock movements and transfers.
  • list_kitchen_display_settings: List the kitchen display (local messaging) configuration per location: whether enabled, host URL and discovery settings.

BYOK key

You bring your own Epos Now Floor Setup Epos Now API key (https://developer.eposnowhq.com/Setup). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.eposnowhq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
