What Epos Now (BYOK) is for

Epos Now (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Epos Now data through the Epos Now API with a key you supply (Epos Now API key). Read-only: 11 tools (get_token_info, list_products, get_product, list_categories, list_locations, list_latest_transactions, list_transactions_by_date, list_tender_types, list_tax_groups, list_product_stock, list_end_of_day). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.eposnowhq.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Epos Now company is my API token connected to?"
  • "Which products do I sell in Epos Now and at what price?"
  • "Show Epos Now product 101"
  • "What product categories exist in Epos Now?"
  • "What locations does my Epos Now account have?"
  • "What were my latest Epos Now sales?"

What it does

  • get_token_info: Show which company and app location the credentials belong to.
  • list_products: List products with name, prices, category, barcode, SKU, supplier and whether they are archived or sold on the till or web.
  • get_product: Get one product by id with prices, tax groups, tags and location prices.
  • list_categories: List product categories with their parent, name, reference code and whether they show on the till.
  • list_locations: List the shop locations of the company with name and address.
  • list_latest_transactions: List the newest transactions first with time, status, staff, device, table and totals. Line items are not returned.
  • list_transactions_by_date: List transactions between two date-times with status, staff, device, table and totals. Line items are not returned.
  • list_tender_types: List the payment types (tender types) set up in the account, such as cash and card.
  • list_tax_groups: List the tax groups with their tax rates.
  • list_product_stock: List stock settings per product and location: minimum and maximum stock and stock batches.
  • list_end_of_day: List end-of-day (till close) records with start and end time, float, total and amount in till.

BYOK key

You bring your own Epos Now Epos Now API key (https://developer.eposnowhq.com/Setup). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.eposnowhq.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
