What Extend (BYOK) is for
Extend (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Extend data through the Extend API with a key you supply (API key (a workspace-scoped key; accounts on the US2 and EU1 instances use other hosts)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_files, get_file, list_extractors, list_extract_runs, list_classifiers, list_splitters, list_workflows, list_workflow_runs, list_parse_runs, list_evaluation_sets). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.extend.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Extend. Extend and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which documents have I uploaded to Extend?"
- "What is this Extend file?"
- "Which Extend extractors do I have?"
- "Which Extend extraction runs failed recently?"
- "Which Extend classifiers have I set up?"
- "Which Extend splitters do I have?"
What it does
list_files: List files uploaded to Extend with name, type, page count and dates. Cursor paginated.get_file: Get one Extend file by ID with name, type, parent file, page count and dates (the file content and download link are not returned).list_extractors: List the extractors (schemas that pull structured fields out of documents) with name and dates.list_extract_runs: List extraction runs with status, failure reason, review flags, extractor, file and dashboard link. Filter by status, extractor or file name.list_classifiers: List the classifiers (document type detectors) with name and dates.list_splitters: List the splitters (tools that cut a document into sub-documents) with name and dates.list_workflows: List the workflows with name, creator and dates.list_workflow_runs: List workflow runs with status, workflow, review and timing information, rejection note and input files. Filter by status, workflow or file name.list_parse_runs: List document parsing runs with status, failure reason, file, page count, processing time and dates.list_evaluation_sets: List evaluation sets (ground-truth documents used to measure an extractor, classifier or splitter) with name, description and the entity they test.
BYOK key
You bring your own Extend API key (a workspace-scoped key; accounts on the US2 and EU1 instances use other hosts) (https://dashboard.extend.ai/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.extend.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Extend. Extend and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Extend account.
