What Feature Upvote (BYOK) is for

Feature Upvote (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Feature Upvote data through the Feature Upvote API with a key you supply (Feature Upvote API key (admin users create it in the account settings)). Read-only: 5 tools (verify_api_key, list_boards, get_board, list_statuses, list_tags). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.featureupvote.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Is my Feature Upvote API key working?"
  • "Which feedback boards do I have in Feature Upvote?"
  • "Show the settings of my Feature Upvote board"
  • "Which statuses can suggestions have on my Feature Upvote board?"
  • "Which tags are used on my Feature Upvote board?"

What it does

  • verify_api_key: Check that the API key is valid; returns a result flag, a message and the account id.
  • list_boards: List the feedback boards of the account. The reference of each board is used by the other tools. The provider documents no response fields, so the full answer is returned; use limit and offset to page.
  • get_board: Show one feedback board by its reference with its settings (full provider answer).
  • list_statuses: List the statuses a board's suggestions can have (id, statusRef and description).
  • list_tags: List the tags of a board with the tag name, whether it is private and its creation date.

BYOK key

You bring your own Feature Upvote Feature Upvote API key (admin users create it in the account settings) (https://help.featureupvote.com/article/89-api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.featureupvote.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
