What FeatureOS (BYOK) is for

FeatureOS (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own FeatureOS data through the FeatureOS API with a key you supply (FeatureOS organization API key (starts with hn_)). Read-only: 11 tools (get_organization_info, list_boards, list_posts, get_post, list_comments, list_changelogs, get_changelog, search_changelogs, list_tags, list_roadmap_items, list_help_articles). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.featureos.app. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FeatureOS. FeatureOS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which post statuses exist in my FeatureOS workspace?"
  • "Which feedback boards do I have in FeatureOS?"
  • "What are the most voted feature requests in FeatureOS?"
  • "Show FeatureOS post 4229"
  • "What comments were left on FeatureOS post 4229?"
  • "What did we publish in the FeatureOS changelog recently?"

What it does

  • get_organization_info: Show the FeatureOS organization the key belongs to (name, subdomain, home page) and its post statuses (slug, name, color), which are needed to filter posts.
  • list_boards: List the public feedback boards of the FeatureOS workspace. Set privacy to private to list private boards instead. The item fields are returned as the provider sends them.
  • list_posts: List feedback posts with status, board, vote and comment counts, tags and dates. Filter by board, approval status, creation dates or sort order. Submitter and assignee details are not returned.
  • get_post: Get one FeatureOS post by ID with status, board, vote and comment counts and dates. Submitter and assignee details are not returned.
  • list_comments: List comments on FeatureOS posts with text, parent comment, post and moderation state. Filter by post or dates. Author details are not returned.
  • list_changelogs: List changelog entries with title, preview, language, publish state and date and labels. Filter by status or language.
  • get_changelog: Get one FeatureOS changelog entry by ID, with its text, labels and the feedback posts it links to (submitter details are not returned).
  • search_changelogs: Search FeatureOS changelog entries by text and return the matching entries.
  • list_tags: List the tags of FeatureOS posts or boards with color, privacy and the board they belong to.
  • list_roadmap_items: List the posts on one FeatureOS roadmap with status, board, vote counts, estimated completion date and RICE score. Submitter details are not returned.
  • list_help_articles: List help center articles with title, status, language, privacy, collection and tags. Authors and assignees are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own FeatureOS FeatureOS organization API key (starts with hn_) (https://help.featureos.app/en/articles/generating-an-api-key-on-featureos). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.featureos.app over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Posts of private boards are not returned: the provider needs an extra ALLOW-PRIVATE header for them, which this connector does not send. Submitter and author names and emails are left out of every answer.

Data sources

Live from the FeatureOS API (api.featureos.app) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://developers.featureos.app/docs. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by FeatureOS. FeatureOS and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your FeatureOS account.
