What Flutterwave (BYOK) is for

Flutterwave (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Flutterwave data through the Flutterwave API with a key you supply (secret key (FLWSECK-...) of API version 3). Read-only: 10 tools (list_transactions, verify_transaction_by_reference, list_transfers, get_transfer, list_refunds, list_settlements, get_wallet_balances, list_payment_plans, list_subscriptions, list_subaccounts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.flutterwave.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Flutterwave payments were successful last week?"
  • "Did Flutterwave transaction with reference DevRef002156 succeed?"
  • "Which Flutterwave transfers failed this month?"

  • "Which Flutterwave refunds were made this quarter?"
  • "When is my next Flutterwave settlement due and how much is it?"

What it does

  • list_transactions: List payment transactions with amount, currency, fees, status, payment type, customer and time; filter by date range, status, currency, reference or customer.
  • verify_transaction_by_reference: Look up one transaction by your own reference (tx_ref): final status, amount, fees, settled amount, payment type, card type and last four digits, customer.
  • list_transfers: List payouts (transfers) with amount, fee, currency, status, reference, recipient name and bank name; recipient account numbers are left out.
  • get_transfer: Get one transfer by numeric id: amount, fee, currency, status, reference, recipient name, bank and message.
  • list_refunds: List refunds with refunded amount, status, transaction id and time; filter by date range, status or currency.
  • list_settlements: List settlements with gross, fee, refund, chargeback and net amounts, currency, status, due and processed dates.
  • get_wallet_balances: Show your wallet balances in every currency: available balance and ledger balance.
  • list_payment_plans: List recurring payment plans with name, amount, interval, duration, status, currency and plan token.
  • list_subscriptions: List plan subscriptions with amount, customer, plan id, status and creation time; filter by e-mail, plan or status.
  • list_subaccounts: List collection subaccounts with business name, bank, split type and value, country and subaccount id; account numbers are left out.

BYOK key

You bring your own Flutterwave secret key (FLWSECK-...) of API version 3 (https://app.flutterwave.com/dashboard/settings/apis). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.flutterwave.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
