What Foxglove (BYOK) is for
Foxglove (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Foxglove data through the Foxglove API with a key you supply (Foxglove API key (fox_sk_...)). Read-only: 10 tools (list_devices, get_device, list_projects, list_recordings, list_sessions, list_events, list_event_types, list_coverage, list_custom_properties, list_sites). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.foxglove.dev. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Foxglove. Foxglove and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which robots are registered in Foxglove?"
- "Show Foxglove device robot-01"
- "Which Foxglove projects do I have?"
- "What recordings did robot-01 make this week?"
- "Which Foxglove sessions did robot-01 record last week?"
- "What events were marked on robot-01 yesterday?"
What it does
list_devices: List the robots (devices) of the organization with name, project and custom properties. Needs an API key with the devices.list capability.get_device: Get one robot (device) by name or id.list_projects: List the Foxglove projects (data isolation groups) the key can see with member counts and last seen time. Needs projects.list.list_recordings: List recordings (data files uploaded by robots) with path, size, time range, device and import status. Needs recordings.list.list_sessions: List recording sessions (groups of recordings from a device, such as a drive or mission). Needs sessions.list.list_events: List events (marked points or ranges of interest in recordings) with device, time range and metadata. Needs events.list.list_event_types: List the event types defined in the organization. Needs eventTypes.list.list_coverage: List time spans for which Foxglove has data for a device (coverage ranges). Needs start and end.list_custom_properties: List the custom property definitions (typed metadata keys) for devices, events or sessions. Needs properties.list.list_sites: List the storage sites (primary and edge) configured in the organization. Needs sites.list.
BYOK key
You bring your own Foxglove Foxglove API key (fox_sk_...) (https://docs.foxglove.dev/docs/settings#api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.foxglove.dev over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Live from the Foxglove API (api.foxglove.dev) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.foxglove.dev/api. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.
What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Foxglove. Foxglove and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
