What Frihet (BYOK) is for

Frihet (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Frihet data through the Frihet API with a key you supply (Frihet API key (starts with fri_)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_invoices, list_quotes, list_expenses, list_vendors, list_products, list_deposits, list_properties, get_financial_summary, get_monthly_report). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.frihet.io. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Frihet invoices are overdue?"
  • "Which Frihet quotes are still open?"
  • "What did I spend on each category in Frihet this quarter?"
  • "Which suppliers do I have in Frihet?"
  • "What products and prices are in my Frihet catalogue?"
  • "Which Frihet deposits still have a remaining balance?"

What it does

  • list_invoices: List invoices with number, client name, issue and due dates, status, subtotal, tax, total and currency. Client email, tax id and address are not returned.
  • list_quotes: List quotes with number, client name, status, valid-until date, subtotal, tax and total.
  • list_expenses: List expenses with description, amount, date, paid date, category, vendor, deductibility and currency.
  • list_vendors: List vendors (suppliers) by name. Contact details and tax ids are not returned.
  • list_products: List products and services with name, unit price, tax rate and description.
  • list_deposits: List customer deposits (prepayments) with client name, amount, currency, status, received date, applied, refunded and remaining amounts. Payment references are not returned.
  • list_properties: List rental properties with name, type, status, commission rate and maximum guests. Owner contact details and licence numbers are not returned.
  • get_financial_summary: Get a financial summary for a period: invoiced, paid, pending and overdue revenue, total expenses, profit, record counts, invoices by status and overdue count and amount.
  • get_monthly_report: Get the profit and loss for one month: revenue, expenses, gross and net profit, invoice counts, top clients, expenses by category and VAT liability.

BYOK key

You bring your own Frihet Frihet API key (starts with fri_) (https://docs.frihet.io/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.frihet.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
