What Frill (BYOK) is for

Frill (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Frill data through the Frill API with a key you supply (Frill API key). Read-only: 11 tools (list_ideas, get_idea, list_announcements, get_announcement, list_announcement_categories, list_topics, list_statuses, list_comments, list_votes, list_followers, search_followers). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.frill.co. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What are the most requested ideas on our Frill board?"
  • "Show me the Frill idea dark-mode-support"
  • "What did we announce recently in Frill?"
  • "Show me Frill announcement abc123"
  • "What announcement categories do we use in Frill?"
  • "What topics are ideas tagged with in Frill?"

What it does

  • list_ideas: List feedback ideas with name, status, votes, comment count, flags (pinned, bug, archived, completed), approval status, priority score and dates.
  • get_idea: Get one idea by its idx or slug, including content, status, topics and attachments.
  • list_announcements: List announcements (changelog posts) with name, excerpt, published flag and date, and categories.
  • get_announcement: Get one announcement by its idx, including content, reactions, author, categories and linked ideas.
  • list_announcement_categories: List announcement categories with name, colour and dates.
  • list_topics: List the topics used to tag ideas, with name, number of ideas and display order.
  • list_statuses: List idea statuses (such as planned or completed) with name and colour.
  • list_comments: List comments on ideas with message, type, private flag, idea id and dates.
  • list_votes: List votes on ideas with creation time, the voter and the idea.
  • list_followers: List followers (your users who give feedback) with name, email, companies and dates. Contains personal data.
  • search_followers: Find a follower by email address and return their name, companies and dates.

BYOK key

You bring your own Frill Frill API key (https://developers.frill.co/api/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.frill.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
