What Geoapify (BYOK) is for

Geoapify (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Geoapify data through the Geoapify API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 5 tools (geocode_address, autocomplete_address, reverse_geocode, search_places, get_route_summary). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.geoapify.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Geoapify. Geoapify and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What are the coordinates of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington?"
  • "Suggest addresses that start with '221B Baker'"
  • "What address is at latitude 48.8584 and longitude 2.2945?"
  • "Find pharmacies within 1 km of longitude 2.3522, latitude 48.8566"
  • "How long does it take to drive from 48.8566,2.3522 to 48.8584,2.2945?"

What it does

  • geocode_address: Convert a free-text address or place name to coordinates, with the formatted address, address parts, result type and a match confidence from 0 to 1.
  • autocomplete_address: Suggest complete addresses and places from a partial text, for type-ahead style lookups.
  • reverse_geocode: Convert a latitude and longitude to the nearest address or place, with address parts and the time zone.
  • search_places: Find places of given categories (for example supermarkets, cafes, hospitals or hotels) inside a circle or box, with address and distance; a bias point sorts them by closeness.
  • get_route_summary: Get the driving, walking, cycling or transit distance and travel time between two or more points, including whether the route has tolls or ferries.

BYOK key

You bring your own Geoapify API key (https://myprojects.geoapify.com). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.geoapify.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Data sources

Live from the Geoapify API (api.geoapify.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://apidocs.geoapify.com/docs/geocoding/forward-geocoding/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Geoapify. Geoapify and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Geoapify account.
