What GitHub Packages (BYOK) is for
GitHub Packages (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own GitHub Packages data through the GitHub Packages API with a key you supply (GitHub personal access token (classic, with read:packages scope)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_my_packages, get_my_package, list_my_package_versions, list_org_packages, get_org_package, list_org_package_versions, get_org_package_version, list_user_packages, list_org_docker_conflicts). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.github.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GitHub Packages. GitHub Packages and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which container packages do I have on GitHub?"
- "Show my GitHub container package hello-app."
- "What versions of my hello-app container exist?"
- "Which npm packages does octo-org publish on GitHub?"
- "Show octo-org's container package hello-app."
- "What versions of octo-org's hello-app container exist?"
What it does

BYOK key
You bring your own GitHub Packages GitHub personal access token (classic, with read:packages scope) (https://github.com/settings/tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.github.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
