What GitHub Teams (BYOK) is for
GitHub Teams (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own GitHub Teams data through the GitHub Teams API with a key you supply (GitHub personal access token (read:org scope)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_my_teams, list_child_teams, get_team_membership, list_team_pending_invitations, list_my_org_memberships, list_my_organizations, list_security_manager_teams, list_org_role_teams). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.github.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GitHub Teams. GitHub Teams and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which GitHub teams am I a member of?"
- "Which child teams does justice-league have in octo-org?"
- "Is octocat a maintainer of justice-league in octo-org?"
- "Who has a pending invitation to justice-league in octo-org?"
- "In which organizations am I an admin?"
- "Which GitHub organizations am I part of?"
What it does
list_my_teams: List the teams across all organizations that the key's account belongs to, with organization, privacy, member and repository counts.list_child_teams: List the teams nested directly under a parent team in an organization.get_team_membership: Check whether a user is a member of a team and with what role (member or maintainer) and state (active or pending).list_team_pending_invitations: List the invitations to a team that are still pending, with invitee login, role, invitation source and any failure reason; email addresses are left out.list_my_org_memberships: List the key owner's organization memberships with role (admin or member), state (active or pending) and whether it is direct.list_my_organizations: List the organizations the key's account belongs to with login and description.list_security_manager_teams: List the teams that hold the security manager role in an organization.list_org_role_teams: List the teams assigned to one organization role, with how the role was assigned (directly or via a parent team).
BYOK key
You bring your own GitHub Teams GitHub personal access token (read:org scope) (https://github.com/settings/tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.github.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
