What GitHub Users (BYOK) is for
GitHub Users (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own GitHub Users data through the GitHub Users API with a key you supply (personal access token). Read-only: 9 tools (get_user, list_users, list_followers, list_following, list_my_followers, list_my_following, list_social_accounts, list_user_organizations, list_user_repositories). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.github.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by GitHub Users. GitHub Users and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "How many followers and public repositories does octocat have?"
- "List GitHub accounts starting after id 135"
- "Who follows octocat on GitHub?"
- "Who does octocat follow on GitHub?"
- "Who follows me on GitHub?"
- "Who am I following on GitHub?"
What it does
get_user: Get a public GitHub profile: name, company, blog, bio, repository, gist, follower and following counts, and account creation date (email and location are left out).list_users: List GitHub accounts in order of account id, starting after a given id (for browsing, 1 to 100 per page).list_followers: List the users who follow a given user.list_following: List the users a given user follows.list_my_followers: List the users who follow the account the key belongs to.list_my_following: List the users the account the key belongs to follows.list_social_accounts: List the social accounts (provider and URL) a user shows on their GitHub profile.list_user_organizations: List the public organizations a user belongs to.list_user_repositories: List a user's public repositories with language, stars and last push.
BYOK key
You bring your own GitHub Users personal access token (https://github.com/settings/tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.github.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
