What Grain (BYOK) is for
Grain (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Grain data through the Grain API with a key you supply (personal access token (or workspace access token)). Read-only: 7 tools (get_token_info, list_recordings, get_recording, get_recording_transcript, list_users, list_teams, list_meeting_types). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.grain.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Grain. Grain and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Grain account is my token for and does it expire?"
- "Which customer meetings did Grain record recently?"
- "Summarize Grain recording pppp6666-qq77-rr88-ss99-tttt00000000"
- "What was said in Grain recording pppp6666-qq77-rr88-ss99-tttt00000000?"
- "Who is in our Grain workspace?"
- "Which teams exist in Grain?"
What it does
get_token_info: Show what the Grain token is: its type (personal, workspace or OAuth), scope, owner name and expiry date.list_recordings: List Grain recordings, newest first, with title, source, share state, dates, duration, teams, recorders and meeting type. Filter by title, internal or external, hosted or attended, team or meeting type. Page with the cursor.get_recording: Get one Grain recording with title, source, dates, duration, teams, recorders and optional participants, AI summary and action items.get_recording_transcript: Get the transcript of a Grain recording as sections with speaker name, text and start and end time in milliseconds.list_users: List the users of the Grain workspace with ID, name and email.list_teams: List the Grain teams with ID and name.list_meeting_types: List the Grain meeting types with ID, name and scope (internal or external).
BYOK key
You bring your own Grain personal access token (or workspace access token) (https://grain.com/app/settings/integrations?tab=api). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.grain.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
Notices
Read-only (list calls use POST only to send filters). A workspace token gives full read access to the workspace; a personal token only your own recordings. Transcripts and summaries contain personal data from meetings.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Grain. Grain and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Grain account.
