What Granola (BYOK) is for

Granola (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Granola data through the Granola API with a key you supply (Granola API key (starts with grn_)). Read-only: 5 tools (list_notes, get_note, get_transcript, list_folders, list_spaces). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to public-api.granola.ai. Granola and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which meetings did I take notes on in Granola this week?"
  • "Summarize my Granola note from the budget meeting"
  • "What was said in my Granola budget meeting?"
  • "What folders do I have in Granola?"
  • "Which Granola spaces can I see?"

What it does

  • list_notes: List meeting notes you can access (title, owner, dates), optionally limited by date, folder or space. Needs a Granola Business plan or higher.
  • get_note: Get one meeting note with its AI summary (markdown), meeting title and time, folders and spaces it belongs to, and a link.
  • get_transcript: Get the transcript of one meeting note (speaker, text, start and end time), page by page.
  • list_folders: List your Granola folders (alphabetical) with their parent folder and space.
  • list_spaces: List the Granola spaces (shared areas) you can access.

BYOK key

You bring your own Granola Granola API key (starts with grn_) (https://docs.granola.ai/introduction). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to public-api.granola.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
