What Harness (BYOK) is for

Harness (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Harness data through the Harness API with a key you supply (Harness personal access token or service account token). Read-only: 8 tools (get_account, list_organizations, list_projects, get_project, list_pipelines, get_pipeline_summary, list_services, list_environments). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.harness.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Harness. Harness and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What Harness edition and settings does my account have?"
  • "What organizations are in my Harness account?"
  • "Which Harness projects do I have?"
  • "Show the Harness project my_project"
  • "What pipelines are in my Harness project and did the last runs pass?"
  • "Show the summary and last run status of Harness pipeline build"

What it does

  • get_account: Get the Harness account's name, company, edition, authentication mechanism, session timeout and contract dates.
  • list_organizations: List the organizations of a Harness account with identifier, name and description.
  • list_projects: List Harness projects with identifier, name, org, modules and tags, optionally for one organization.
  • get_project: Get one Harness project: name, color, modules, description and tags.
  • list_pipelines: List the pipelines of a Harness project with name, identifier, tags, stage count, modules and last execution status.
  • get_pipeline_summary: Get one pipeline's summary: stage names, version, modules and the status and time of its last execution.
  • list_services: List the CD services of a Harness account, organization or project with identifier, name, description and tags. Each item may include its YAML.
  • list_environments: List the CD environments of a Harness account, organization or project with identifier, name, type and tags. Each item may include its YAML.

BYOK key

You bring your own Harness Harness personal access token or service account token (https://developer.harness.io/docs/platform/automation/api/add-and-manage-api-keys/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.harness.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

Only accounts served from app.harness.io are supported; clusters on other Harness hosts (app3, EU) are not. List answers return each item as Harness sends it and are shortened when large.

Data sources

Live from the Harness API (app.harness.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://apidocs.harness.io/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Harness. Harness and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your Harness account.
