What HERE EV Charge Points API (your key) is for

HERE EV Charge Points API (your key) lets an AI assistant read your own HERE EV Charge Points data through the HERE EV Charge Points API with a key you supply (HERE API key). Read-only: 6 tools (get_charging_locations, get_charging_location, get_charging_connectors, get_charging_tariffs, get_country_metadata, get_service_version). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to evcp.hereapi.com. What it does

  • get_charging_locations: Get EV charging locations by id with name, operator, position, restrictions and supported vehicles; add fields such as address or locationInfo for more; returns the provider's JSON with items and missing ids.
  • get_charging_location: Get one EV charging location by id with address, opening hours, time zone and operator details.
  • get_charging_connectors: Get the chargers (EVSEs) and connector groups of charging locations by id: connector standards, maximum power, counts and live status where available.
  • get_charging_tariffs: Get charging tariffs (ad-hoc by default, or all, cpo, emsp or a partner id) for the chargers of charging locations by id.
  • get_country_metadata: Get EV charging metadata for countries: roaming providers (eMSPs), charge point operators and connector types, selected with fields; without countries returns all.
  • get_service_version: Show the EV Charge Points API version information.

BYOK key

You bring your own HERE EV Charge Points HERE API key (https://platform.here.com/admin/apps). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to evcp.hereapi.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Notices

HERE platform terms limit storing results outside the platform (30 days) and serving one request to many end users. Locations are found through HERE Geocoding and Search; some data fields need a restricted plan.
