What Hetzner Cloud Catalog (BYOK) is for

Hetzner Cloud Catalog (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Hetzner Cloud Catalog data through the Hetzner Cloud Catalog API with a key you supply (Cloud project API token (read-only is enough)). Read-only: 7 tools (list_server_types, get_server_type, list_load_balancer_types, list_images, get_image, list_isos, get_pricing). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.hetzner.cloud. What it does

  • list_server_types: List the server plans (types) with cores, memory in GB, disk in GB, CPU type, architecture, category and prices per location.
  • get_server_type: Get one server plan by numeric id with its resources, prices and locations.
  • list_load_balancer_types: List load balancer plans with maximum connections, services, targets and certificates, and prices per location.
  • list_images: List OS images, snapshots and backups with type, OS flavor and version, architecture, disk size and deprecation date.
  • get_image: Get one image by numeric id with OS flavor, version, architecture, sizes and deprecation.
  • list_isos: List the ISO images that can be attached to a server, with type, architecture and deprecation.
  • get_pricing: Show the full Hetzner Cloud price list: currency, VAT rate, server, load balancer, volume, image, backup and IP prices.

BYOK key

You bring your own Hetzner Cloud Catalog Cloud project API token (read-only is enough) (https://console.hetzner.cloud/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.hetzner.cloud over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
