What Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers (BYOK) is for
Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers data through the Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers API with a key you supply (Cloud project API token (read-only is enough)). Read-only: 5 tools (list_load_balancers, get_load_balancer, list_certificates, list_primary_ips, list_placement_groups). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.hetzner.cloud. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers. Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Hetzner load balancers do I have and what do they point to?"
- "How is Hetzner load balancer 4242 configured?"
- "Which TLS certificates do I have on Hetzner and when do they expire?"
- "Which primary IP addresses do I own on Hetzner and what are they assigned to?"
- "Which Hetzner placement groups do I have and which servers are in them?"
What it does
list_load_balancers: List load balancers with location, plan, public and private addresses, algorithm, services, targets and traffic counters.get_load_balancer: Get one load balancer by numeric id with its addresses, services (ports, protocol, health checks), targets and traffic.list_certificates: List TLS certificates held in the project with type, domain names, validity dates, fingerprint, managed-certificate status and the resources using them.list_primary_ips: List primary IP addresses with type, address, location, assignee, auto-delete flag and reverse DNS.list_placement_groups: List placement groups with type, the server ids spread across hosts and labels.
BYOK key
You bring your own Hetzner Cloud Load Balancers Cloud project API token (read-only is enough) (https://console.hetzner.cloud/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.hetzner.cloud over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
