What Hetzner Cloud (BYOK) is for
Hetzner Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Hetzner Cloud data through the Hetzner Cloud API with a key you supply (Cloud project API token (read-only is enough)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_servers, get_server, list_networks, list_volumes, list_firewalls, list_floating_ips, list_ssh_keys, list_locations). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.hetzner.cloud. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hetzner Cloud. Hetzner Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which Hetzner Cloud servers are running in my project?"
- "What is the status and IP address of Hetzner server 42?"
- "What private networks do I have in Hetzner Cloud?"
- "How big are my Hetzner volumes and which server uses each?"
- "Which firewall rules do I have in Hetzner Cloud?"
- "Which floating IPs do I have and where are they assigned?"
What it does
list_servers: List the cloud servers of the token's project with status, server type, location, public IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, image and creation time.get_server: Get one cloud server by its numeric id: status, type, location, addresses, image, traffic counters and labels.list_networks: List private networks with their IP range, subnets, routes and labels.list_volumes: List block storage volumes with size in GB, location, the server each is attached to and status.list_firewalls: List firewalls with their rules and the resources they are applied to.list_floating_ips: List floating IP addresses with type, the server each is assigned to, home location and reverse DNS entries.list_ssh_keys: List the names and fingerprints of SSH keys stored in the project. The key bodies are not returned.list_locations: List Hetzner Cloud locations with city, country and network zone.
BYOK key
You bring your own Hetzner Cloud Cloud project API token (read-only is enough) (https://console.hetzner.cloud/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.hetzner.cloud over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
