What HireHive (BYOK) is for

HireHive (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own HireHive data through the HireHive API with a key you supply (HireHive API token (starts with key_)). Read-only: 8 tools (list_jobs, get_job, list_job_categories, list_tags, list_pipeline_stages, list_user_categories, list_email_templates, list_application_forms). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.hirehive.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which jobs are published in HireHive?"
  • "Show me the details of this HireHive job"
  • "Which job categories does HireHive have?"
  • "What tags are defined in HireHive?"
  • "What stages are in my HireHive hiring pipeline?"
  • "Which user categories exist in HireHive?"

What it does

  • list_jobs: List jobs with title, status, employment type, experience level, salary text, category and city. Candidate and applicant data is not included.
  • get_job: Get one job with title, status, type, experience, salary text, category, city and public apply link.
  • list_job_categories: List job categories with their display order and the IDs of the jobs in each.
  • list_tags: List candidate and job tags with color, type and active or archived status.
  • list_pipeline_stages: List the hiring pipeline stages with their parent stage (New, Screening, Interviewing, Offered, Hired, Rejected) and order.
  • list_user_categories: List the user categories (team groupings) defined for your HireHive account.
  • list_email_templates: List email templates with name, subject, pipeline stage and whether they are private or the auto-response default.
  • list_application_forms: List application, follow-up and feedback forms with name, type and how many jobs use each.

BYOK key

You bring your own HireHive HireHive API token (starts with key_) (https://docs.hirehive.com/api-reference/authentication). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.hirehive.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
