What Hume (BYOK) is for
Hume (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Hume data through the Hume API with a key you supply (Hume API key). Read-only: 7 tools (list_voices, list_configs, list_prompts, list_tools, list_chats, list_chat_events, list_chat_groups). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.hume.ai. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Hume. Hume and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Which custom voices have I saved in Hume?"
- "Which EVI configs do I have in Hume?"
- "Which prompts are stored for my Hume EVI agents?"
- "Which tools can my Hume EVI agents call?"
- "Show my latest Hume EVI chats"
- "What was said in Hume EVI chat 8a3b1c2d?"
What it does
list_voices: List text-to-speech voices: Hume's shared voice library (HUME_AI) or the custom voices saved in your account (CUSTOM_VOICE), optionally filtered by tag.list_configs: List EVI voice agent configurations with name, version, EVI version, prompt and voice settings.list_prompts: List EVI prompts (system instructions) with their text and version.list_tools: List user-defined EVI tools (functions an agent can call) with description, parameter schema and version.list_chats: List EVI voice chats with status, start and end time, event count and the config used; filter by config or status.list_chat_events: List the events (user and agent messages, tool calls) of one EVI chat with role, type, time and message text.list_chat_groups: List chat groups (chats that were resumed from each other) with chat counts and the most recent chat and config.
BYOK key
You bring your own Hume Hume API key (https://app.hume.ai/keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.hume.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
