What ImageKit (BYOK) is for

ImageKit (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ImageKit data through the ImageKit API with a key you supply (private API key (a restricted key with read-only media access is enough)). Read-only: 9 tools (list_files, get_file_details, list_file_versions, get_file_metadata, list_custom_metadata_fields, get_account_usage, get_usage_analytics, list_url_endpoints, list_origins). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.imagekit.io. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ImageKit. ImageKit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What files are in my ImageKit /products folder?"
  • "Show details of ImageKit file 598821f949c0a938d57563bd"
  • "What versions exist of this ImageKit file?"
  • "What are the dimensions and format of this ImageKit image?"
  • "Which custom metadata fields have I defined in ImageKit?"
  • "How much ImageKit bandwidth and storage did I use in September 2026?"

What it does

  • list_files: List or search files and folders in the ImageKit media library with type, path, size, dimensions, tags and dates. Up to 100 per call; page with skip.
  • get_file_details: Get one ImageKit file by id: name, path, type, size, dimensions, tags, AI tags, publish state, URL and dates.
  • list_file_versions: List the stored versions of an ImageKit file with version id, name, size and dates.
  • get_file_metadata: Get technical metadata of an uploaded ImageKit file: format, dimensions, size, quality, density, duration and codecs.
  • list_custom_metadata_fields: List custom metadata fields defined in the ImageKit media library with their value types and constraints.
  • get_account_usage: Get ImageKit account usage between two dates: bandwidth, media library storage, video processing units, extension units and original cache storage.
  • get_usage_analytics: Get ImageKit delivery analytics between two dates: request count, bandwidth, status codes, error reasons, top 404 assets and cache hits.
  • list_url_endpoints: List ImageKit URL endpoints with description, URL prefix and the origins each uses.
  • list_origins: List ImageKit origins (where originals are fetched from) with name, type, bucket and prefix. Credentials are not returned.

BYOK key

You bring your own ImageKit private API key (a restricted key with read-only media access is enough) (https://imagekit.io/dashboard/developer/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.imagekit.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the ImageKit API (api.imagekit.io) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://imagekit.io/docs/api-overview. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ImageKit. ImageKit and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your ImageKit account.
