What Imgix (BYOK) is for

Imgix (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Imgix data through the Imgix API with a key you supply (Imgix Management API key). Read-only: 5 tools (list_sources, get_source, list_assets, list_reports, get_report). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.imgix.com. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which Imgix sources do I have and are they enabled?"
  • "Show the settings of this Imgix source"
  • "What images are in this Imgix source tagged 'dog'?"
  • "What Imgix analytics reports are available?"
  • "Show this Imgix report and its files"

What it does

  • list_sources: List the Imgix sources (image storage connections) of the account with deployment type, domains and enabled state. The secret URL signing token is not returned.
  • get_source: Get one Imgix source: name, enabled state, deployment status and type, Imgix subdomains and custom domains.
  • list_assets: List assets of an Imgix source from the Asset Manager with path, type, size, dimensions, tags and dates (Asset Manager attributes need an Enterprise plan). Cursor paging.
  • list_reports: List the Imgix analytics reports (CDN logs, source analytics, credit analytics) with period and download file URLs. Needs the Analytics permission.
  • get_report: Get one Imgix analytics report by ID with its type, period and download file URLs.

BYOK key

You bring your own Imgix Imgix Management API key (https://dashboard.imgix.com/api-keys). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.imgix.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
