What ImprovMX (BYOK) is for

ImprovMX (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ImprovMX data through the ImprovMX API with a key you supply (API key). Read-only: 9 tools (get_account, list_domains, get_domain, list_aliases, get_alias, list_rules, list_smtp_credentials, list_email_logs, list_whitelabel_domains). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.improvmx.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ImprovMX. ImprovMX and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "What ImprovMX plan am I on and what are my domain and alias limits?"
  • "Which of my ImprovMX domains are not yet forwarding?"
  • "Is example.com ready to forward mail on ImprovMX?"
  • "Where does info@example.com forward on ImprovMX?"
  • "What does the 'info' alias of example.com forward to on ImprovMX?"
  • "What routing rules does example.com have on ImprovMX?"

What it does

  • get_account: Show the ImprovMX account: owner email, country, plan name and price, domain and alias limits, and lock state.
  • list_domains: List the domains on ImprovMX with forwarding and sending readiness, routing engine, notification email and dates.
  • get_domain: Get one domain's forwarding and sending readiness, routing engine, notification email, strict MX flag and dates.
  • list_aliases: List the email aliases of a domain with the destination each forwards to.
  • get_alias: Get one alias of a domain by its name (for example 'info') or numeric id.
  • list_rules: List the routing rules of a domain (alias, regex or expression rules) with type, rank, active flag and configuration.
  • list_smtp_credentials: List the SMTP sending credentials (usernames, creation date and usage count only; passwords are never returned) of a domain.
  • list_email_logs: List recent delivery logs of a domain: sender, recipient, subject, transport and delivery events (queued, delivered, bounced, refused).
  • list_whitelabel_domains: List the whitelabel (parent) domains configured on the account.

BYOK key

You bring your own ImprovMX API key (https://improvmx.com/api/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.improvmx.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the ImprovMX API (api.improvmx.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://improvmx.com/api/. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ImprovMX. ImprovMX and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your ImprovMX account.
