What Instantly Setup (BYOK) is for

Instantly Setup (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Instantly Setup data through the Instantly Setup API with a key you supply (API v2 key (needs read scopes such as inbox_placement_tests:read)). Read-only: 11 tools (list_inbox_placement_tests, get_inbox_placement_test, list_inbox_placement_results, list_inbox_placement_reports, list_esp_options, check_tracking_domain, list_custom_tags, list_lead_labels, list_subsequences, list_webhooks, list_webhook_event_types). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.instantly.ai. What it does

  • list_inbox_placement_tests: List inbox placement (deliverability) tests with name, status, type, delivery mode, sending method, campaign and schedule times. Email subject, body and recipients are not returned.
  • get_inbox_placement_test: Get one inbox placement test with name, status, type, delivery mode, sending method, campaign and schedule times.
  • list_inbox_placement_results: List per-message inbox placement results for a test: whether it landed in spam, sender and recipient ESP codes, region and type codes and SPF, DKIM and DMARC pass flags. Recipient and sender addresses are not returned.
  • list_inbox_placement_reports: List domain reputation reports for a test: sending domain, IP, domain and IP blacklist counts and SpamAssassin score.
  • list_esp_options: List the recipient email service provider options usable in inbox placement tests (region, sub-region, type and ESP).
  • check_tracking_domain: Check a custom tracking domain: whether it is set up and whether its CNAME and SSL are valid.
  • list_custom_tags: List custom tags (labels used on accounts and campaigns) with label, description and dates.
  • list_lead_labels: List lead labels (interest statuses) with label, positive, neutral or negative interest, description and AI usage flag.
  • list_subsequences: List campaign subsequences with name, parent campaign, status code, daily limit mode and limit and creation time. Sequence steps are not returned.
  • list_webhooks: List webhooks with name, event type, campaign filter, status and creation time. Target URLs and headers are not returned.
  • list_webhook_event_types: List the webhook event types Instantly can send, with id, label and type.

BYOK key

You bring your own Instantly Setup API v2 key (needs read scopes such as inbox_placement_tests:read) (https://developer.instantly.ai/getting-started/authorization). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.instantly.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
