What Insta WP (BYOK) is for

Insta WP (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Insta WP data through the Insta WP API with a key you supply (InstaWP API token). Read-only: 11 tools (list_sites, get_site, list_site_plans, list_teams, list_team_tags, list_templates, list_snapshots, get_versions, list_commands, get_domain_pricing, list_domain_dns). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to app.instawp.io. Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which InstaWP sites expire soon?"
  • "What PHP version does InstaWP site 1234567 run?"
  • "What site plans can I choose on InstaWP and how much disk do they give?"
  • "Which InstaWP teams am I in?"
  • "Which site tags exist on my InstaWP team?"
  • "Which InstaWP templates do we have and how many sites use each?"

What it does

  • list_sites: List the WordPress sites of the current (or a given) team with name, URL, PHP and WordPress versions, disk use, expiry and tags. Paged.
  • get_site: Get one site: URL, PHP and WordPress versions, disk use, expiry, domain, plan name and creation time. Credentials are not returned.
  • list_site_plans: List the site plans the account can use with tier name, one-line summary, PHP workers and disk quota in MB. Plan ids are per account.
  • list_teams: List the teams the token owner belongs to with id and name.
  • list_team_tags: List the tags defined on a team with id, name and colour.
  • list_templates: List site templates with name, slug, status, source site, lifetime of created sites and active site count. Paged.
  • list_snapshots: List snapshots with name, slug, status, source site, lifetime of created sites and creation time. Paged.
  • get_versions: List the WordPress versions InstaWP supports with the PHP versions available for each.
  • list_commands: List the WP-CLI commands saved by the team with name and command text.
  • get_domain_pricing: List registration and renewal prices per top-level domain that InstaWP can register, with currency and whether privacy is supported.
  • list_domain_dns: Get the live DNS zone of a domain registered through InstaWP: zone id, nameservers and records.

BYOK key

You bring your own Insta WP InstaWP API token (https://app.instawp.io/user/api-tokens). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to app.instawp.io over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
