What IONOS Cloud (BYOK) is for

IONOS Cloud (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own IONOS Cloud data through the IONOS Cloud API with a key you supply (IONOS Cloud API token (JWT)). Read-only: 12 tools (list_datacenters, get_datacenter, list_servers, get_server, list_volumes, list_snapshots, list_ip_blocks, list_lans, list_kubernetes_clusters, list_kubernetes_node_pools, list_locations, get_contract_info). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.ionos.com. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by IONOS Cloud. IONOS Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.

Ask your assistant things like:

  • "Which IONOS Cloud data centers do I have and where are they?"
  • "Show IONOS data center 5b6c2b1a-0000-4000-8000-000000000001."
  • "Which servers run in my IONOS data center and are they up?"
  • "What is the state and size of my IONOS server s1?"
  • "How much storage do my IONOS volumes use?"
  • "Which volume snapshots do I have on IONOS Cloud?"

What it does

  • list_datacenters: List your virtual data centers with name, description, location, version and features.
  • get_datacenter: Get one virtual data center: name, description, location, version, features and IPv6 CIDR block. Its child resources are left out (use the list tools).
  • list_servers: List the servers of a data center with name, cores, RAM (MB), VM state, availability zone, CPU family and type.
  • get_server: Get one server: name, hostname, cores, RAM, VM state, zone, CPU family, boot volume reference, network bandwidth cap and maintenance window.
  • list_volumes: List the storage volumes of a data center with name, type, size (GB), zone, image, bus and boot server. Passwords, SSH keys and user data are never returned.
  • list_snapshots: List volume snapshots of the account with name, location, size (GB), licence type and creation date.
  • list_ip_blocks: List reserved IP blocks with name, location, size, the IP addresses and which servers use them.
  • list_lans: List the LANs of a data center with name, public flag, IPv4/IPv6 CIDR blocks and private cross connect.
  • list_kubernetes_clusters: List managed Kubernetes clusters with name, Kubernetes version, public flag, location, available upgrades and maintenance window.
  • list_kubernetes_node_pools: List the node pools of a Kubernetes cluster with node count, server type, cores, RAM, storage and auto-scaling limits.
  • list_locations: List the IONOS Cloud locations (regions) with name, metro region and supported features.
  • get_contract_info: Show the contract number, owner, status and resource limits and usage (cores, RAM, storage, reserved IPs, Kubernetes clusters, NAT gateways).

BYOK key

You bring your own IONOS Cloud IONOS Cloud API token (JWT) (https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/set-up-ionos-cloud/management/identity-access-management/token-manager). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.ionos.com over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

Data sources

Live from the IONOS Cloud API (api.ionos.com) with a BYOK key; documentation: https://docs.ionos.com/cloud/api-reference/cloud-api-v6. Endpoints checked against that documentation on 2026-10-16.

What it is not

Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by IONOS Cloud. IONOS Cloud and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your IONOS Cloud account.
