What ipdata (BYOK) is for
ipdata (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own ipdata data through the ipdata API with a key you supply (ipdata API key). Read-only: 4 tools (lookup_ip_location, get_ip_timezone, get_ip_network_owner, get_ip_threat). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.ipdata.co. Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ipdata. ipdata and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with.
Ask your assistant things like:
- "Where is the IP address 8.8.8.8 located?"
- "What time zone is the IP address 3.3.3.3 in?"
- "Who owns the network of IP address 8.8.8.8?"
- "Is the IP address 8.8.8.8 a known VPN or threat?"
What it does
lookup_ip_location: Get the geolocation of an IP address: city, region, country, continent, coordinates, postal code, calling code and EU flag.get_ip_timezone: Get the time zone of an IP address: name, abbreviation, UTC offset, daylight-saving flag and current local time.get_ip_network_owner: Get the autonomous system behind an IP address: AS number, organisation name, domain, route and usage type (hosting, isp, business, edu, gov, mil, unknown).get_ip_threat: Get the threat flags of an IP address: commercial VPN exit, blocklists it appears on and a general threat flag. VPN detection may need a paid plan.
BYOK key
You bring your own ipdata ipdata API key (https://dashboard.ipdata.co/). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.ipdata.co over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.

What it is not
Unofficial connector by Unify Dynamics LLC: not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by ipdata. ipdata and its logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which service the connector works with. It is read-only: it never creates, changes, sends or deletes anything in your ipdata account.
