What Kapso (BYOK) is for

Kapso (BYOK) lets an AI assistant read your own Kapso data through the Kapso API with a key you supply (Kapso project API key). Read-only: 12 tools (list_customers, list_phone_numbers, get_phone_number, list_broadcasts, get_broadcast, list_conversations, get_conversation, list_messages, list_contacts, list_flows, get_waba_usage, get_waba_funding_status). The BYOK key travels with each request, is used for that one call only and is never stored, logged or cached; it is only ever sent to api.kapso.ai. What it does

  • list_customers: List the customers (end clients) in the Kapso project, most recent first, with name and your own external customer id.
  • list_phone_numbers: List the WhatsApp phone numbers connected to the project, most recent first, with display name, verified name, status, quality rating and messaging tier.
  • get_phone_number: Get one WhatsApp number by its Meta phone number id: status, quality rating, messaging tier, name approval and webhook verification.
  • list_broadcasts: List broadcast campaigns, most recent first, with status, template and delivery counts (sent, delivered, read, failed, responded). Read only; nothing is sent.
  • get_broadcast: Get one broadcast by id: status, template, start and finish times and delivery counts.
  • list_conversations: List WhatsApp conversations, latest activity first, with contact name, number, status, message count and the last message. Pages by cursor in paging.next.
  • get_conversation: Get one conversation by id with contact name, number, status, message count and the last message.
  • list_messages: List WhatsApp messages across conversations, newest first, with type, sender, direction, delivery status, text content and contact name. Pages by cursor in paging.next.
  • list_contacts: List WhatsApp contacts with WhatsApp id, profile name, display name, linked customer and custom metadata. Pages by cursor in paging.next.
  • list_flows: List WhatsApp Flows, most recent first, with name, status (draft or published), Meta flow id, version and whether a data endpoint is configured.
  • get_waba_usage: Show the charges Kapso recorded for one WhatsApp Business Account in a time window (at most 31 days), split by messaging and calling, with billable message counts.
  • get_waba_funding_status: Show the funding status Kapso has on record for one WhatsApp Business Account: status, reason, currency and whether paid messages are paused. Reads stored data only.

BYOK key

You bring your own Kapso Kapso project API key (https://docs.kapso.ai/api/introduction). Your assistant sends it in the X-Upstream-Key header with each request. ConnectorBay uses it for that one call only: it is never stored, logged or cached, never shown in an answer, and it is only sent to api.kapso.ai over https, with no redirects followed. Create a key with the fewest permissions the tools need (read-only if the provider offers it), and revoke it at the provider whenever you like.
